It’s a Revolution
I admit, I am not a very athletic person. I have the basic sports skills but I’m not good enough to participate in leagues outside of cheering for my kids. I can hit, kick, throw and catch a ball. I can skate (kinda). I’m still learning puck handling and it’d be a while before I play with my future mother-in-law. I’m not really even into sports either but hockey is the one sport I’ve always enjoyed watching, preferably live. I get bored with the televised games. And while I am a Wing Nut, I always enjoy a good college or minor league hockey game. Heck, I love hockey enough to marry my very own hockey player
(I admit, I love watching him skate)
Battle Creek isn’t known for much beyond Kelloggs and Frosted Flakes. In fact, if it wasn’t for Kelloggs, the city probably wouldn’t even be as big as it is. We don’t have much here in the way of professional sports teams. Baseball, basketball and hockey are all AA leagues. This season, I’ve been working as a game photographer for the Battle Creek Revolution hockey team. I enjoy it. Of the volunteer work I’ve done, it seems like this team is
really the only group of people that truly appreciate what I do for them.
I can’t pick just a few pictures from different games so I’ll share a couple now and more over the next few days.
